Our house sitter host Mark picked us up at the Auch train station. It was about a 45 minute ride to their house in Lupiac. Yep, we were in the middle of nowhere - Lupiac, population 310. Lots of rolling hills, a few small vineyards, and a couple of towns along the way.

We took a high speed train from Barcelona, Spain to Toulouse, France. We made it to our destination in just over three hours. We had only one night in Toulouse and we arrived at 9:00 pm, so we didn't get to see much. We really felt the winter cold now. 

This post is out of chronological order in an attempt to be more timely and wish you all the happiest of New Years. 

We are in currently in rural France, (Lupiac to be exact...southwest France). We chose to be here in a quieter and colder place for the holidays. Buenos Aires was over 80˚F and certainly didn't feel like Christmas. We found a house sitting job In France and are now looking after 3 dogs, 3 horses and 9 cats. In our defense, we didn't know there were 9 cats when we committed to the job, we thought there was just one.
