Vietnam Part 2

These are Maeve's pictures from more of our stay in Hoi An, Vietnam. Keep in mind she is 13 years old with no photography training and she uses my phone for the pictures. Most pictures start with Maeve saying, "Mom, give me your phone." Oftentimes, she 'sees' something that I have just walked past. She notices an angle or imagines the final image. She plays with filters and crops. Most of all, she loves it.

Thailand

Some Of Maeve's pics from our recent trip to Chiang Mai in the gardens of the Royal Palace. 

The following two were from Bangkok. I took most of our Bangkok pictures of temples and other sites. Maeve took a few, but chose these to share. 

These next pictures were taken just outside of Krabi, which is in southern Thailand, but not an island. We had a villa and a rental car. Maeve took many of these pictures with my phone from the car while I was driving.

February 4 - March 5, 2015

These first pictures are from a cultural center in Arusha. This was a large and unusual building that sold paintings, carvings, photographs and furniture.

These garden pictures are from Sir Andy Chande's garden. He is a business man and philanthropist. We were fortunate enough to visit him in his home. His wife has been ill for quite a while and she had not been in the garden for a long time. Sir Andy told us these pictures brought her joy.

Portugal

I finally have the Portugal photos sorted out of Google+!! Maeve has picked out her favorites from our time in Portugal at the end of January.  Our first stop was Lisbon.

Next, we took a train to Aviero. This is a quaint coastal town (with a canal). Many Portuguese flock here in the summer.

We entered city of Porto on a rainy day. We loved Porto and enjoyed walking all over this hilly city.

We ended back in Lisbon for a few days. 

Day trip to Sintra (40 minute train ride from Lisbon) and just a short drive to the most western part of Europe. 

Rome, Italy

We spent five days in Rome, our only stop in Italy. It was rainy and fairly cold for the end of January, but we did enjoy a couple of sunny days.  Enjoy Maeve's unique perspective of the ancient city.
