It's hard to believe that it has been one year since we began this adventure. It truly doesn't feel like it at all, probably because it feels like it is summer all the time. We are still in Southeast Asia and are working on our plan for the future.

We had an early flight to Hanoi from DaNang. With no issues at the airport, we had some time to kill. I began to read up on recommended taxi companies at the Hanoi airport. When I had booked the hotel, I turned down the hotel's offer of an airport pick up for $18 because I was sure we could get there for less.

We had a taxi arranged in the afternoon to take us from Hoi An to DaNang, which is about a 40 minute ride. Of course, our Hoi An exit, like many other city exits, was not without drama. The woman we rented our house from claimed we lost a key to the safe. The safe we never used. We left the envelope along with the instructions on the nightstand and never touched it again. Not sure what happened, but it was as if the crown jewels had been stolen.
