Barcelona, Part 2

January 2 - January 6, 2015

We booked our accommodations again at Casa Gracia. This time, we had a six bed dorm to ourselves. The extra room was fantastic.

Okay, a bit of a mess, but love the columns and the high ceilings.

It was nice to already be familiar with the location and hostel. We knew there were other places to explore as well. We went for long walks and checked out other neighborhoods.

We also went to Park Güell. Barcelona is famous for Antoni Gaudi's architecture and this park is a wonderful place to see much of his work. That said, much of it was being restored and the iconic Gaudi pieces that one imagines when they think of Barcelona were covered in scaffolding. There were huge lines to enter the museum there. If you're interested in taking it all in, show up early.

We had another beautiful, sunny day. We had walked to the park and entered through the back of the park which was pretty high up. There were some lovely views of the city.

We walked through gardens and explored the whole park. It's quite large, so this can take a while.
