Cusco Farmers' Market

Our host in Cusco, Bill, arranged for another interesting adventure. He took us along on his trip to the Saturday market to buy food for his guest house. We took a bus to get there - something we could not have done without his guidance. We would still be traveling the hinterlands of Cusco if left to our own devices.

The market challenged every sense and made for another amazing day. The vendors were proud of their goods and rightly so. This was the definition of organic, no GMO or food chemists involved in this food chain. Having said that, it takes a while for most bellies to adjust.  We have had our share of delicate tummies since we started our trip, but no one has won the family prize yet for being the first person to puke. It's a modern day miracle.
