Arriving in Vietnam

 April 30 - May 13, 2015

When we first arrived in Vietnam we were in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a fairly developed place and we stayed for a couple of weeks. It wasn't too bad although it was scorching hot and people were trying to scam us left, right and center. We walked all around the city and I was constantly stopped by Japanese tourists that wanted my picture. We didn't see much besides the War Remnants Museum and the tunnels from the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese soldiers would flee into these tunnels to hide or to get away. The tunnels went for hundreds of miles. It was pretty disturbing, as most places discussing war are. They showed the traps they'd use to kill the American soldiers.

After a day or two we took a taxi to the nearby mall. We saw a poster at the android store saying Demi Lovato was going to be there in a few days. We were shocked and thought we could have a little meet and greet. We had no idea there was going to be a circle of security on each floor just to contain the hundreds of people practically falling over the railings. Every time a door opened the crowd would flip out. We were told she'd be there at 3:30. We waited, and waited, and waited some more, and I gave up. It had been three hours! When she finally came everyone flipped. Guess what she did? She walked into the android store and held some phones for a picture. Then she took a picture with some people that won a ticket lottery. After that, she walked out. Conclusion: Many of Demi Lovato's fans were very disappointed.
